Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship Program 2011-12 for Higher Studies

Applications are invited by The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation, Mumbai for the grant of Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship for Higher Studies 2011-12. The objective of the scholarship programme is financially supporting meritorious candidates and promoting academic excellence in India. The scholarship is applicable for Post Gradate studies in India and Abroad. The amount of the scholarship is upto Rs. 10 lacs and it will be decided the Foundation at the time of selections.

Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships are offered for Post Graduate studies in the disciplines of Pure Sciences, Applied Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Law, Architecture and Management. Selected candidates will get interest free scholarships and also will be mentored by reputed people in various fields like academia, industry etc.

Eligibility: Applicants should be Graduates with good academic record. Those appearing for their final year exams in 2011 also eligible to apply. Candidates age must be below 30 years as on 31st January 2011. Candidates have to secure admission / or likely to secure admission by the time of award of scholarship in a prestigious / reputed institute or university in India or abroad.

Short listed candidates will be called for personal interviews to be held during April 2011 in Mumbai. This is mandatory and interview is the final selection criteria. Completed forms should carry fee of Rs 300/- in the form of cash/ DD/ MO drawn in favour of 'Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation' along with required copies of certificates. Post Selection conditions: Selected candidates will have to submit copies of the the letter confirming admission and Form I-20 ( in case of admission to universities / colleges in the US). They also should submit a copy of letter offering financial support, in case of universities in other countries. Selected students have to attend an Orientation Programme at Mumbai before the start of the course. They also need to sign an MoU with the NS Foundation appearing its TOCs.

Selected candidates will get scholarships in installments based on the fee statement from the College/ University which has to be furnished by the candidate / scholar. Schedule of repayment of amount to NSF also given below:
1. 1st year after course completion:
2. 2nd year after course completion: 30 percent of the scholarship amount
3. 3rd year after course completion: 35 percent of the scholarship amount
4. 4th year after course completion: 35 percent of the scholarship amount
