The Government of Andhra Pradesh has increased Social Welfare Scholarships amount for SC and ST students pursuing various courses. The increased scholarships will be applicable for all post metric courses such as Degree, PG, M.Phil., Ph.D., Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Law, BA, B.Com., Post Metric Non Degree, ITI, Polytechnic, Vocational, All professional Courses after 10+2, CA, ICWAI, CS, ICFA, Commercial Pilot License, PG Diploma and other courses. It is also likely that the parental income limit will be increased from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh. There is a increase of 72 percent in the amount of scholarships. Following is the increased amount for various courses:
1. Group-1: All Degree, PG Courses, M.Phil, Ph.D., Professional Courses, Commercial Pilot License, PG Diploma, CA, CWA, CS, and ICFA: Rs. 550 for Day Scholars and Rs. 1200 for Hostlers.
2. Group -2: Degree, Pg Diploma, Pharmacy, Nursing, Law, All other professional Courses after 10+2: Rs. 530 for Day Scholars and Rs. 820 for Hostlers.
3. Group-3: BA, B.Com., B.Sc. etc: Rs. 355 for Day Scholars and Rs. 570 for Hostlers.
4. Group-4: All Post Metric Non Degree courses after 10th class, ITI , Polytechnic, Vocational: Rs. 235 for Day Scholars and Rs. 380 for Hostlers.
