BITS Hyderabad Anual Festival-Pearl 11

BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus has made complete arrangements for its annual cultural festival - Pearl '11. The first annual festival of the Hyderabad campus of the prestigious BIT - Pilani will commence from 10th February 2011 and will close on 13th February 2011. The fete will be held at BITS Hyderabad campus near Shamirpet.

The duration of the festival is about 80 hours. About 16,000 students are expected to take part in the rich celebrations. The theme of the festival is named as ‘Dreamscape' which would revolve around dreams of the individual. The total estimated budget for the first festival of BITS Hyderabad is around Rs. 40 lakh. The total prize money allocated for all the events will be more than Rs. 15 lakh. BITS Pilani - Hyderabad Campus has planned a variety of events for the three day festival. These would include competitions in drama, writing, speaking, dance and music .

The top highlight of the festival would be the performance by a Gothenburg (Sweden) based Melodic Death Metal band, Dark Tranquility on 12th February 2011.
