AU- Andhra University Distance Education Admissions 2011-2012

School of Distance Education (SDE), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) has issued admission notification 2011-2012 for various Post Graduate, PG Diploma, Certificate, B.A., B.Com. courses. SDE, Andhra University also offer MBA and MCA Courses for ICET 2011 qualified candidates. All the courses offered by Schoool of Diatance Education, Andhra University are duly recognised by Distance Education Council, New Delhi. The center is also offering different job oriented short term courses which will be much useful for educated but unemployed youth. Candidates need not submit TC and MC at the time of admission for all the courses. Following are details of programmes, eligibility and application procedure:

Post Graduate Programmes:

1) M.A. English: Eligibility: Any Degree including B.A.(O.L)/B.F.A./ B.A.L. or Professional Degree.
2) M.A. Hindi : Eligibility: Any Degree with Hindi as one of the subjects of study.
3) M.A. Telugu : Eligibility: Any Degree with Telugu as one of the subjects of study.
4) M.A. Economics: Eligibility: B.A. with Economics as one of the subjects.
5) M.A. History : Eligibility: B.A. (Pass or Hons) /O.T. B.A. (O.L.) with History as one of the subjects.
6) M.A. Political Science / M.A. Psychology / M.A. Public Administration / M.A. Sociology/ M.A.Philosophy: Eligibility: Any degree
7) M.A. / M.Sc. Mathematics: Eligibility: B.A / B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects of study
8. M.Com.: Eligibility: Any graduate other than B.F.A. and B.A. (O.L.)
9) M.Sc. (Botany / Zoology/ Organic Chemistry) : Eligibility: B.Sc. with relevant subjects.
10) M.H.R.M. : Any graduate
11) LL.M. : Eligibility: B.L. or equivalent degree.
12) 3 Year MBA (Specialisations: Marketing / Finance/ HRM)
13) 2 Year Executive MBA (Specialisations: Marketing/ Finance/HRM)
14) MCA (Three years): Eligibility: ICET Rank
15) Master of Journalism and Mass Communication: Any Bachelor Degree other than B.F.A.

One Year PG Diploma Courses (English Medium only):

1) Co-operation and Rural Studies : Any Bachelor Degree
2) Computer Programming and Applications: Eligibility: Any degree other than B.F.A. and B.A.(O.L.)
3) P.G. Diploma in Translation: Eligibility: Any Degree with Telugu as mother tongue or as a subject of study.
4) P.G. Diploma in Environmental Studies / Functional English / Management of Voluntary Organisations / Travel and Tourism Management / Consumer Education / Public Interest / Digital Governance / P.G. Diploma in Condition Monitoring:
5) Additional Method Subjects in B.Ed. / MA Education

Graduate Courses (3 Years Duration):

1) B.A. (Both English and Telugu Media): Eligibility: Intermediate / PUC / ITI / Pass in SDE entrance exam
2) B.Com. (Both English and Telugu Media): Eligibility: Intermediate / PUC / ITI / Pass in SDE entrance exam
3) B.Sc. (English Medium only) (With the combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computers and Economics): Eligibility: Intermediate / PUC / ITI / Pass in SDE entrance exam

Certificate Courses (Six Months):

1) Office Automation and Accounting: Eligibility: Intermediate / Pass in the B.A./B.Com./ Entrance Exam of SDE, AU.
2) Office Automation and Multimedia Technologies: Eligibility: Intermediate / Pass in the B.A./B.Com./ Entrance Exam of SDE, AU.
3) Office Automation and Internet Technologies: Eligibility: Intermediate / Pass in the B.A./B.Com./ Entrance Exam of SDE, AU.

Diploma courses:

1) Diploma in Music : (Two Years) : Candidates must have completed 15 years of age as on 1st July 2011
2) Diploma in Consumer Education: (Six Months): Should have passed in Intermediate / +2.
