AP to get exemption from NEET - AMS Admissions

1) In a move to bring some relief to Intermediate students of the state of Andhra Pradesh preparing for EAMCET - 2012 for admission to MBBS course, the Union minister for Health, Ghulam Nabi Azad has agreed to consider the request of the State government to postpone NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) by two years. The state government has written to the union ministry seeking two year exemption from the NEET as Intermediate curriculum was different from NEET. The state government is proposed to amend the two year Intermediate curriculum and prepare the students for NEET in 2014. It is also observed that the State government has to amend Educational Acts to enable it to switch over to NEET from EAMCET.

2) Andhra Mahila Sabha has invited applications for admission to its part time courses in B.A. and M.A. Music for the year 2011-12. Candidates with basic knowledge of Carnatic classical music are eligible to apply. The M.A. Music course is offered to women candidates with graduation only. They should have certificate course in Carnatic classical music. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 25th November 2011. 3) Azaan International School, Banjara Hills (Hyderabad) is conducting inter school Qirath (Quran recitation) and Seerath competitions on 19th November 2011 between 8-30 AM and 1-30 PM. The school students will also distribute school stationary among poor students residing at Golconda area on 20th November 2011 at Mirza Gardens Function Hall, Golkonda.
