Faculty of Science of the Osmania University is one of the most reputed department in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Faculty of Science of OU offer various Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PG Diploma courses for science students. There are number of specializations offered in UG courses in various colleges affiliated to Osmania University. Along with campus college of science at OU, PG College of Science at Saifabad is very famous as Science College. It is granted autonomous by the University. Following are details of UG, PG and PG Diploma Programmes in Science of Osmania University:

1) Under Graduate Degree Programmes (B.Sc.): Duration is 3 years. Applicants should have passed in two year Intermediate Examinations of A.P. or +2 Examination with at least 40 percent marks. SC and ST candidates need pass marks. They should have studies concerned science subjects such as Physical Sciences and Mathematics group OR Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences at the Intermediate level. Selection of the candidates will be based on merit and rules followed respective degree colleges under the supervision of OU.

2) B.Sc (ASLP): Duration is 3 years. Applicants should have passed in two year Intermediate Examination or 10+2 of any recognized board. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology OR Mathematics at Intermediate level. Selection will be through an Entrance examination.

3) Post Graduate Courses (M.Sc.): Duration is 2 years. Candidates should have passed in B Sc. with minimum 40 percent marks (pass marks are enough for SC and ST candidates) in the concerned Science subjects such as Physical Sciences and Mathematics for MPC group OR Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences for BZC group. Selection will be through an Entrance Test called OUPGCET or OUCET.
