Lawcet, Pglcet Category - B Admissions 2011-12

A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad has announced new guidelines for admission to 3 year and 5 year LL.B. / B.L and LL.M courses to be filled under management category (Category B) for the academic year 2011-12. All the left over seats in above courses will be filled as per the eligibility requirements mentioned below and in the prescribed application format.

Educational Qualifications for 3 Year / 5 Yr LL.B. Courses: Applicants should have any degree in 10+2+3 pattern for 3 year LL.B or B.L Degree and 10+2 pattern for 5 year LL.B./B.L Degree. Open category candidates should secure minimum 45 percent and SC and ST candidates need 40 percent marks. Candidates those secured less than the prescribed percentage but have secured the same percentage or more in aggregate in any PG Degree or B.Ed. are also eligible for admission into 3 year LL.B. course under management quota.

Candidates who have obtained 10+2 or Degree examination by single sitting method or private or correspondence mode are not eligible for law courses. Candidates who obtained 10+2 or Degree through Open University system without any basic qualification are also not eligible to apply. Vacant seats may also be filled with eligible candidates who secured not less than 45 percent marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination following merit.

Eligibility for LL.M. Courses: Candidates must have passed in 3 Year / 5 Year LL.B./ B.L. from a recognised University in India. OC candidates need 50 per cent and SC / ST candidates require minimum 45 percent marks. Seats may also be filled with the eligible candidates including those with more than 50 percent marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination duly ensuring merit and transparency. The application proforma of LAWCET / PGLCET 2011-12 (Admissions) under Category B seats in Minority / Non- Minority Law Colleges can be downloaded from official website at www.apsche.org. Last date for admitting candidates for the academic year is 30-12-2011.
