Inter Second Year Maths Model Questions

Following is the Senior Intermediate Mathematics Paper - II (A) Model Paper of the English Version. Duration of the exam is 3 hours and maximum marks are 75. These are model questions only. Candidates should prepare extensively to succeed in the examinations. They should not depend on a few important questions based on previous papers and model papers. Here are model questions:

1) Find the number of ways of arranging the letters of the word ARRANGE such that the two R's come together.

2) If 4 fair coins are tossed simultaneously, then find the probability that 2 heads and 2 tails appear.
is the probability distribution of a random variable 'x'. Find k and the mean of x.

3) Find the number of ways of arranging 6 boys and 5 girls in a row so that
(i) all the girls sit together
(ii) no two girls sit together
(iii) boys and girls sit alternately and
(iv) no two boys sit together

4) If two numbers are selected randomly from 20 consecutive natural numbers, find the probability that the sum of the two numbers is
(i) an even number and (ii) an odd number.

5) Solve the equations by using Gauss - Jordan Method:
3x+4y+5z = 18; 2x-y+8z = 13;
5x-2y+7z = 20.

6) In the experiment of tossing a coin 'n' times, if the variable 'X' denotes the number of heads and P (x = 4), P (x = 5) and P (x = 6) are in arithmetic progression, then find 'n'.
