BDS seats increased in Govt. Dental College at Hyderabad

August 28, 2012: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has increased number of seats in the Government Dental College and Hospital, Hyderabad. The college presently has 40 seats and 60 more seats have been added in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course. The college is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued essentiality certificate to this effect. Following are course details in Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Hyderabad.

1) Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS): Duration is five year. This is a full time programme. Admission will be through EAMCET entrance exam conducted for candidates who have passed 10+2. Selection will be as per the norms of the NTRUHS, Vijayawada.

2) Certificate in Dental Hygienist: This is a certificate course in Dental Hygienist and duration is two years. The programme will be held in full time mode. This also affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences. Admission will be for the candidates with 10+2 qualification.
