AP Govt to start Vedic Schools at Temples

October 4: The Government of Andhra Pradesh is contemplating to start vedic schools in all big temples in the state. Endowments Minister C.Ramachandraiah has said in a media interaction on Friday, 4th October 2012.

The Government has appointed a study team to work on the schools and intake of
students. All the vedic schools would come under one umbrella of Sri Venkteswara Vedic University (SVVU), TItupati. SVVU is being managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Tirupati.

The Government of AP is also planning to set up Sanskrit schools across the state. The Government is proposed to set up these schools through donations from Dharmic Trusts from overseas.
