10th Class Exams - Old Pattern or New Pattern - Number of Papers 2014-15

Several Teachers Federations and Associations in Andhra Pradesh have requested the Government of AP to conduct the SSC / 10th Class public examinations in the new pattern, as per the new syllabus. There is still lot of confusion in both the states of AP and Telangana regarding structure and pattern of SSC / 10th Class exams.

Teacher associations like UTF, APTF, STU, APTF (1938), DTF, HMA, RUPP, BTA and other associations have petitioned that the Tenth Class exams should be held as per the guidelines of NCF and SCF recommendations.

The new pattern of exams includes formative and summative assessments. The public exams will be conducted for 80 marks and 20 marks will be given for formative assessment by the teachers in the respective schools.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have to take a final decision on the examination pattern for SSC Exams to be conducted in March 2015. AP has earlier announced that the exams will be held in old pattern. We need to wait for some more time to get a final decision of the governments.
