The Government of Andhra Pradesh is contemplating to conduct Engineering admissions without EAMCET qualification. The HRD Minister ,Ganta Srinivasa Rao has informed that the Government is exploring the option of direct admissions into Engineering courses considering the delay in EAMCET counseling process.

The Minister has informed that a team of experts has been sent to Tamil Nadu to study the admission process based on the marks in Intermediate marks. The Minister said that a final decision will be taken on the Engineering admissions after the committee submits its report and due approval from the Chief Minister for the same.

The proposal has come up in the wake of unusual delay in the EAMCET 2014 counseling process. The fee reimbursement and nativity issues of Telangana government have become point of contention in the counseling process. The issue has been in the Supreme Court and far from solution in the coming days.

The Government of AP is also pleading for the intervention of Central Government in the EAMCET counseling 2014. It is appealed to the Union Government to initiate the common admission process as mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and based on the nativity principle as defined in Article 371 D of the Constitution of India.
