Junior Inter Physics Model Paper - New Syllabus for AP and Telangana Boards

Here is the Junior Intermediate Physics Model Question Paper for the students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Boards of Intermediate Education. The model paper is prepared considering all the new syllabus topics and according to the latest pattern.

SECTION - A
I. i) Answer ALL questions.
ii) Each carries 2 marks.
iii) All are very short answer type questions. 10 × 2 = 20
1. What is the discovery of C.V. Raman?
2. The percentage error in the mass and speed are 2% and 3% respectively. What is the maximum percentage error in kinetic energy calculated using these quantities?
3. How is average velocity different from instantaneous velocity?
4. The magnitude of vertical component of a vector is equal to the magnitude of its horizontal component. Find the angle mode by the vector with X - axis.
5. What happens to the coefficient of friction, if the weight of body is doubled?
6. By spinning eggs on a table top, how will you distinguish a hard boiled egg from a raw egg?
7. What is the time period of revolution of geostationary satellite? Write one use of geostationary satellite.
8. Why are liquid drops and air bubble spherical?
9. What is green house effect? Explain global warming.
10. Define mean free path.

SECTION - B
II. i) Answer any SIX questions.
ii) Each carries 4 marks.
iii) All are short answer type questions. 6 × 4 = 24

11. State parallelogram law of vector addition. Derive an expression for the magnitude and direction of the resultant vector.
12. Derive the equation x = v0 . t + 1-2 at2 using graphical method where the terms have usual meaning.
13. Define the terms momentum and impulse. State and explain the law of conservation of linear momentum. Give examples.
14. What is escape velocity? Obtain an expression for it.
15. Explain surface tension and surface energy.
16. Describe the behaviour of a wire under gradually increasing load.
17. In what way is the anomalous behaviour of water advantages to aquatic animals?
18. How specific heat capacity of mono atomic, diatomic and poly atomic gases can be explained on the basis of law of equal partition of energy?

SECTION - C
III. i) Answer any TWO of the following.
ii) Each carries 8 marks.
iii) All are long answer type questions. 2 × 8 = 16

19. What are collisions? Explain the possible types of collisions. Develop the theory of one dimensional elastic collision.
20. a) Define simple harmonic motion. Show that the motion of projection of a particle performing uniform circular motion on any diameter is simple harmonic. (6 Marks)
b) A body describes simple harmonic motion with an amptitude of 5 cm and a time period of 0.2 S. Find velocity of the body when the displacement is 3 cm. (2 Marks)
21. Explain reversible and irreversible processes. Describe the working of Carnot engine. Obtain an expression for the efficiency.
