EAMCET Weightage Calculation and Ranking in AP and Telangana States - 2016

Following is the detailed procedure for EAMCET weightage and ranking after weightge to Intermediate / 10+2 marks. The procedure is being followed by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for EAMCET engineering and medical entrance tests.



Weightage calculation and Ranking:

i) For EAMCET with 75% weightage
For X candidate : 140/160X75 = 65.625
For Y candidate : 151/160X75 = 70.781

ii) For qualifying exam with 25% weightage of group marks
For X candidate : 560/600X25 = 23.230
For Y candidate : 510/600X25 = 21.250

iii) Combined Score
For X candidate : 65.625+23.230 = 88.955
For Y candidate : 70.781+21.250 = 92.031
iv) Ranking of the candidate

First Rank – to Y candidate
Second Rank – to X candidate

Criterion for Ranking in case of tie

I. By taking into account total marks in EAMCET
II. By taking into account the marks secured in Mathematics/ Biology subjects in EAMCET
III. By taking into account the marks secured in Physics in EAMCET
IV. The Grand total % of aggregate marks scored in the qualifying examination. For example if a candidate scores grand total of 850 marks which includes language subjects also out of 1000 then the grand total % of aggregate is 85.
V. Date of Birth of the candidate, the older being given performance over the younger.
