Admission into Post Basic General Nursing and Midwifery Course in AP for 2017-18

Office of the Director of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh has announced notification inviting applications for admission into General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course for the academic year 2017-18. The course is being imparted in Government and Private Schools of Nursing in the state and Post Basic Diploma One Year Course in Government and eligible Private Schools in the State of AP.

Details of courses:

Post Basic Diploma Courses: Neonatal Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nursing, Ortho and Rehabilitation Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Emergency and Disaster Nursing, Cardiothoracic Nursing and Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery Course.

Eligibility for admission into GNM:

Candidates need 10+2 / Intermediate qualification with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40 percent marks at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board.

Candidates those qualified from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government are also eligible.

Candidates from CBSE board and other recognised boards also can apply. They should be a Registered ANM with pass mark.

Eligibility for Post Basic Diploma Course:

Candidates must be a registered nurse and registered midwife (R.N. & R.M). They need at least 1 year experience as a staff nurse. Nurses from other countries must obtain an equivalence certificate from INC before admission.

Last date for payment of registration: 01/09/2017.
Last date for online submission of applications: 01/09/2017.
