Andhra Kesari University in Ongole - Prakasam District of AP

Government of Andhra Pradesh is establishing a new University in the state. It is proposed to establish Andhra Kesari University in Ongole, headquarters of Prakasam district.

Chief Minister will start the functioning of the university on 2nd or 3rd November 2018. The Government is contemplating to convert the existing PG Center at Ongole in to University.

Ongole PG Center is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University and it is one of the oldest PG center in the state. Government orders regarding Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu University will be released on 31st October 2018.

The university is named after freedom fighter, Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu, who is also known as Andhra Kesari.
