APRDC CET 2026 is a state-level common entrance test organised by Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutions Society (APREIS) for admissions to B.A., B.Com, and B.Sc courses at AP Residential Degree College Nagarjuna Sagar for the academic year 2026-27. This is a fully residential and government-funded institution where meritorious students from economically weaker sections can pursue quality English-medium degree education at very affordable fees.
About AP Residential Degree College Nagarjuna Sagar
APRDC was established in 1975 by Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutions to provide and deliver quality education for all talented students. The Andhra Pradesh Government conducts this test with the idea of providing high-class education to underprivileged candidates at a very affordable fee. The college is located in Nagarjuna Sagar, Palnadu District, and is a boys-only residential institution.
Total Seats in APRDC CET 2026
The total number of seats available under APRDC CET 2026 is 220 across all courses. All seats are in English Medium and the college is fully residential in nature.
Course Wise Seats – APRDC Nagarjuna Sagar 2026
The course wise seat distribution for APRDC CET 2026 is as follows.
B.A. Political Science and History has 40 seats.
B.Com Computer Applications has 30 seats.
B.Com Tax Procedures and Practice has 30 seats.
B.Sc Chemistry and Physics has seats under the 120-seat B.Sc block.
B.Sc Computer Science and Mathematics is also included in the 120-seat B.Sc block.
B.Sc Data Science and Statistics is part of the 120-seat B.Sc block.
B.Sc Zoology and Chemistry is also offered within the 120-seat B.Sc block.
In summary, B.A. accounts for 40 seats, B.Com accounts for 60 seats across two streams, and B.Sc accounts for 120 seats across four specialisations, making a grand total of 220 seats.
Category Wise Reservation of Seats
The percentage of reservation of seats in APRDC CET 2026 is as follows. OC category gets 35%, BC-A gets 7%, BC-B gets 10%, BC-C gets 1%, BC-D gets 7%, BC-E gets 4%, SC Group-I gets 1%, SC Group-II gets 6.5%, SC Group-III gets 7.5%, and ST gets 6%. Under special category reservation, PHC, Sports, CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), Orphan, and NCC candidates each get 3% reservation.
Zone Wise Seat Allotment
APRDC seat allotment is done for three different zones with districts divided among them. The ratio of seats per zone is 42:32:36. Candidates are allotted seats based on their local area and the zone in which their district falls.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who appeared in the Intermediate or equivalent examination during the 2025-26 academic year are eligible to apply. Specific course eligibility depends on the subjects studied at Intermediate level. B.Sc Chemistry and Physics requires MPC background, B.Sc Zoology and Chemistry requires BPC background, and B.Sc Computer Science and Mathematics and B.Sc Data Science and Statistics also require MPC or related streams. B.A. candidates must have studied Humanities and B.Com candidates must have studied Commerce at Intermediate level.
Subject Wise Weightage in Selection
For B.A., History is considered for Paper-I and Economics for Paper-II. For B.Com, Commerce-I is taken for Paper-I and Commerce-II for Paper-II. For B.Sc Chemistry, Mathematics is considered for Paper-I and Chemistry for Paper-II. For B.Sc Computer Science and B.Sc Data Science, Mathematics is for Paper-I and English for Paper-II. For B.Sc Zoology, Zoology is for Paper-I and Botany for Paper-II.
Selection Process
Admissions are made based on course wise merit in the Common Entrance Test, reservation norms, and jurisdiction. The counselling process is conducted in two phases. If a candidate does not get their desired course after round one, they can still take part in round two but will have to drop the course initially allotted to them.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 250 for all candidates and must be paid online before the last date of application.
