Students are eagerly waiting for the IIT JEE 2012 Results to be announced by IITs on 18th May 2012. The IIT JEE 2012 appeared candidates felt that Paper 2 of the examination would be a deciding factor as it was a bit difficult to answer. It is estimated by the experts that the Cut Offs for IIT JEE 2012 to get a seat in IIT would be higher than IIT JEE 2011. This will be an advantage for the meritorious candidates. Following are probable / expected Marks and Ranks of IIT JEE 2012 for the understanding of the candidates:
1) 310 and Above Marks - Ranks Between 1 - 100
2) 310 - 290 Marks - Ranks between 101- 200
3) 290 - 270 Marks - Ranks between 201- 500
4) 270 - 255 Marks - Ranks between 501- 1000
5) 255 - 240 Marks - Ranks between 1001- 2000
6) 240 - 225 Marks - Ranks between 2001- 3000
7) 225 - 210 Marks - Ranks between 3001- 4500
8) 210 - 195 Marks - Ranks between 4501- 6000
9) 195 - 180 Marks - Ranks between 6001 - 7500
10) 180 - 140 Marks - Ranks above 8000
Candidates are requested to note that these are expected ranks only. The ranks will depend on the standard of the question paper and competition for the examination. Every mark is an important one in the IIT JEE examination as that will decide the career of the student. IIT JEE 2012 Subject Wise Cut Offs for all Categories
For the first of its kind in the history of IIT JEE, the IITs have announced cut offs for various categories this year. IIT JEE 2012 Cut Offs have been announced by IITs for General, OBC, SC, ST and PH candidates as mentioned below. Apart from total cut offs required, subject wise cut offs for Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics also announced by IITs. Following are these details:
1) General : 143 Marks (Physics - 14, Chemistry - 14, Maths - 14)
2) OBC: 129 Marks (Physics - 13, Chemistry - 13, Maths - 13)
3) SC: 72 Marks (Physics - 7, Chemistry - 7, Maths - 7)
4) ST: 72 Marks (Physics - 7, Chemistry - 7, Maths - 7)
5) PH: 72 Marks (Physics - 7, Chemistry - 7, Maths - 7)
IIT JEE has been conducted for a total of 408 marks. There will be 136 Marks for each subject including both the papers. Candidates who score more than above mentioned cut off marks will get a rank in IIT JEE 2012. Generally IIT announce cut off marks after the completion of the examination. This year cut offs have been released by IITs prior to the examination. Though they will get a rank for 143 marks. General category candidates need more than 170 marks to get a seat in IITs.

IIT Ramaiah SAT Model Papers - Exam on 29th April 2012
IIT Ramaiah SAT Examination 2012 will be held on 29th April 2012 at Osmania University. This is the only examination for all the students who have applied ofr SAT 2012 of Ramaiah IIT Institute.
