The Convener of JNTU Kakinada, Dr. Tulasi Ramdas has released ECET 2012 Results on 2nd June 2012. About 32937 candidates have been appeared for the examination held in the last month. 29391 candidates were declared qualified. Among these, 22614 are boys and 6777 are girls. Results can be obtained from www.apecet.org.
ECET 2012 Counseling schedule will be released soon. The JNTUH has released top rankers of ECET 2012 in various branches of Engineering. There will be online counseling for the qualified candidates. Candidates have to appear for certification before proceed with online entry of options of colleges and courses. Detailed schedule of counseling will also be displayed on the website www.apecet.org.
EET is a competitive examination conducted for admission to specific number of seats in Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Those qualified in ECET can directly join in the second year of Engineering courses in Andhra Pradesh.

AIEEE 2012 Results, Cut Offs, CCB Counseling and Best Colleges
All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE 2012) Results and Ranks will be released on 1st or 2nd June 2012. The Central Counseling Board (www.ccbnic.in) will announced the Counseling schedule soon after the release of results. The AIEEE 2012 results along with ranks cards are available on below mentioned websites. AIEEE Qualified students will be eligible to attend CCB counseling. Rank cards to the qualified candidates will be sent by the authorities soon or may be available for download from www.ccb.nic.in. Inter First Year New Text Books Prices
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has released new text books for Intermediate First year students. The Board of Intermediate Education, AP (BIE AP) has revised the syllabus and the new text books have been published and distributed by Telugu Akademi according to the new syllabus. But the prices of new text books have been almost doubled from the earlier text books. The new text books will be available in the market from June 2012. The new prices for MPC stream are at Rs.1,350 and Rs.1,100 per set for the Bi.P.C stream. The old prices for are Rs.500 and Rs.550 respectively for MPC and BiPC streams. The BIE has released new textbooks for Mathematics IA and IB, Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology. English version of the text books will be available in the market from Thursday.
The Government on the other hand has justified the hike in prices of text books citing the better quality colour printing this year. The number of first year Intermediate students are likely to be around 7.5 lakh. Out of these, about 4.5 lakh students are in the MPC and Bi.PC streams. Each of the 4.5 lakh students of these streams have to be supplied four text books of the changed syllabus. It is high time for the Government to keep sufficient number of books available in the market and stop black marketeers.
