AP Govt to start Vedic Schools at Temples

October 4: The Government of Andhra Pradesh is contemplating to start vedic schools in all big temples in the state. Endowments Minister C.Ramachandraiah has said in a media interaction on Friday, 4th October 2012.

The Government has appointed a study team to work on the schools and intake of
students. All the vedic schools would come under one umbrella of Sri Venkteswara Vedic University (SVVU), TItupati. SVVU is being managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Tirupati.

The Government of AP is also planning to set up Sanskrit schools across the state. The Government is proposed to set up these schools through donations from Dharmic Trusts from overseas.


EAMCET 2013 or NEET 2013 for MBBS Admissions

The students from Andhra Pradesh are in confusion over the fate and relevance of EAMCET 2013 for MBBS admissions. The Government has not cleared the air on the prevalent situation regarding the implementation of NEET 2013 -14 in Andhra Pradesh. Though the Chief Minister has written a letter to the Center requesting for exemption of AP from NEET 2013, the Union Government has not clarified any thing till the date.

Meanwhile, Health Education Minister of AP observed that the Government of AP will announce a decision on 8th October 2012 regarding the implementation of NEET from 2013-14 academic year.

The Government has approved new medical colleges at Nellore and Nizamabad for the coming academic year and the college swill start functioning from 2013-14. About 300 MBBS seats will be available in these colleges.

Another 350 additional seats in MBBS will be available for students by the next academic year as the Government has increased the intake in existing 7 Govt. Medical colleges. The Govt. is going to allocate Rs.368 crore for the Medical College at Nellore.


NTR University Final MBBS and BDS Results 2012

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has announced MBBS Final Part 2 and BDS Final results on 3rd October 2012. These exams were conducted in August 2012. The results can be accessed on ntruhs.ap.nic.in. Interested candidates can apply for retotalling of answer scripts on or before 17th October 2012.

1) MBBS Part 2 Results: The examinations were held in August 2012. The compulsory rotatory internship for the MBBS qualified candidates will commence from 12th October 2012. Fee for retotalling of each subject is Rs.2000.

2) BDS Results also have been released by NTRUHS. The examinations were held in August 2012. You can apply for retotalling through paying Rs.2000 per each subject.

Personal verification / identification by the candidate is not allowed. Retotalling will be carried out by an expert team. Students can apply for retotalling on or before 17-10-2012. For more details, see ntruhs.ap.nic.in .
