The Department of Social Welfare has announced that the candidates availing Post Metric Scholarships can renew their scholarships through the ePass website at http://epass.cgg.gov.in . The department has mentioned that the Aadhaar Card is mandatory for the renew of scholarship for the academic year 2013-14. The Scholarships and tuition fee will not be reimbursed if the candidates do not upload the Aadhaar Card through the website, as per the official statement. All the Engineering, Medical and other professional courses candidates can avail this opportunity.
The ePass website did not mention any last date for the receipt of applications. All the students must have Aadhaar Cards. If you do not have, you can enroll for the Card at any nearest center and get the number. If the candidate did not get the card after enrollment, they can obtain the same from the website https://portal.uidai.gov.in/ResidentPortal/statusLink .
Candidates have to fulfill following requirements for the renewal of scholarships:
1) Aadhaar Card
2) Bank Account
3) SBI eZpay accounts are not valid. All the students must open zero balance accounts with nationalised banks.
4) Mobile Number of the candidate or their family member.

ICET 2013 Web Counseling Schedule - Certificate Verification
The ICET 2013 counseling notification has been released by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). Admission into MBA and MCA Course for the academic year 2013-14 will be through ICET 2013 online counseling. Candidates have to appear for certificate verification and enter web options as per the schedule given below:
1) Commencement of Certificate verification: 3 August 2013
2) Entry of web options: From 6 August 2013
The detailed counseling notification with rank wise counseling schedule will be available on the ICET 2013 website at apicet.nic.in from 27 August.
There are hundreds of MCA and MBA colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates should select the college which has good faculty, infrastructure, placements and reputation. ICET counseling will be completely in online mode. Candidates can download the allotment letter on the concerned date and report at the college.

NRI Quota in Minority Medical Colleges in AP from 2013
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a decision to reserve 15 percent of seats in Minority Medical and Dental college to NRI candidates. The Government has earlier taken the same decision with respect to main stream Medical and Dental Colleges for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2013-14.
The NRI quota will be allotted within the seats available under Management quota. At present 40 percent seats are reserved for management quota. With the latest decision, the management quota will be reduced to 25 percent and NRI quota will be 15 percent.
In another latest development, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh has ordered the Government not to take any final decision regarding management quota seats till further orders. The court has intervened after the recent controversies in filling management quota seats in various private medical colleges.
It is being reported that several private medical colleges in the state are not issuing applications for the management quota seats. Several parents have approached the court and the court has responded with notices to the Government.
