EAMCET 2014 MBBS Counseling from 25th August

The EAMCET 2014 medical counseling is likely to commence from 25th August 2014. The counseling notification will be announced on 16th or 17th August 2014. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada will conduct the counseling for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.

The fee hike proposal for private colleges will be dropped for this year in both the states. Telangana Government is yet to finalise the guidelines on fee reimbursement scheme, FAST.

Private medical colleges are demanding the Governments to liberalise the guidelines to fill up seats in management quota as the fee hike is almost ruled out by the Governments.

Following is the fee structure at present in MBBS courses:
1) Government Colleges: Rs. 16000
2) Private A seats: Rs. 69500
3) Private B seats: Rs. 254500
4) Private C seats (Management quota): Rs. 564500

EAMCET Counseling in Telangana State 2014

The Government of Telangana is likely to finalise EAMCET 2014 counseling schedule today. The Telangana government and Telangana State Council of Higher Education are keen on conducting separate counseling for Telangana students.

The decision on separate counseling dates and schedule will be taken and finalised considering the guidelines of Supreme Court. The Court has asked both AP and Telangana governments to complete the EAMCET Engineering admissions counseling by the end of August 2014.

The TSCHE Chairman, Papireddy has informed that Engineering counseling for Telangana students will be conducted separately. The schedule for certificate verification will be announced today or tomorrow.

The Supreme Court has declined to comment on controversial FAST scheme and local status. With this the Telangana Government may go ahead with its policies on fee reimbursement and local status of the students.

Supreme Court Judgement on EAMCET 2014 Counseling

The Supreme Court of India has rejected the request for the postponement of EAMCET 2014 counseling for three months by the Government of Telangana. In its final judgement on the EAMCET 2014 counseling on 11th August 2014, the Supreme Court has directed both the states of AP and Telangana to abide by the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and conduct common admissions.

The Supreme Court has entrusted the responsibility of the conducting EAMCET 2014 counseling to AP State Council of Higher Education, following the guidelines of the AP Reorganisation Act. The court has mentioned that the APSCHE will conduct counseling as per the bifurcation Act. With the judgement of Supreme Court, the decks have almost been cleared for the EAMCET Engineering counseling.

The certificate verification is under progress in Andhra Pradesh and the same will be started in Telangana in a few days. APSCHE Chairman, Venugopal Reddy has informed that the certificate verification in Telangana may start within 3-4 days. The detailed schedule will be announced in a day or two by the Council.
