Telangana Fee Reimbursement for Local Quota Students Only - 2015

The Government of Telangana is proposed to bring various changes in the fee reimbursement / scholarship scheme from the academic year 2015-16. The government has framed new guidelines for fee reimbursement and the final decision is likely to be announced soon.

According to the new guidelines, the fee reimbursement will be applied to the local students only who joined in local quota as per the article 371-D of the Constitution of India.

The Government of Telangana has almost withdrawn the FAST scheme after criticism from High Court at Hyderabad and various other quarters. It has decided to follow article 371 - D in determining local / non local status and the fee reimbursement also will be applied as per that article.

Students who have studied at least 4 years without interruption in Telangana will be considered as Local students. Out of the previous 7 years, the students must have studied 4 years in Telangana.
