L and T Build India Scholarships 2012 for M.Tech in IITs

Corporate giant, Larsen and Toubro (L and T) is offering scholarships for Engineering candidates to pursue M.Tech in IITs located at Delhi and Madras (Chennai). This is really excellent opportunity for those students who missed IIT dream at B.Tech level to realise their aspirations. L and T is the one of the reputed and one of the largest corporate companies in India, The scheme is named as 'L and T Build India Scholarship'. The scholarships are offered for M.Tech in Construction Technology and Management. The programme is offered at IIT Delhi and IIT Madras. The Construction arm of L and T will sponsor these fellowships for meritorious candidates.

Eligibility and Qualifications: Applicants should be graduates with minimum 65 percent marks in BE or B.Tech in the branches of Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. Candidates should be passing out in 2012 from any of the recognised college or university. Applicants age should be below 23 years as on 01-07-2012. Selection of the candidates will be based on written tests or interview conducted by respective IITs (Delhi / Madras) in coordination with experts from L and T / ECC. Candidates should be medically fit. Those completed the course should work for the company for at least 5 years and candidates should execute an undertaking for a value of Rs. 300000 in this regard.

Duration of the course is 2 years. The programme is likely to start from July 2012. Selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 9000 for 2 years or 24 months. L and T will pay the stipend. Candidates successfully completed the course will be absorbed by the company. They will have excellent career opportunities and growth as L and T is the leading company in the infrastructure sector.
