EAMCET 2013 notification is likely to be announced in the first or second week of February 2013. The EAMCET 2013 committee has met on 31st January and finalised the guidelines for EAMCET 2013.
EAMCET is an Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test for admission to engineering, architecture, pharmacy and medical graduate courses for the academic year 2013-14.
The online application process will commence from February 2013. The examination schedule also has been announced. There has been so much confusion over Medical entrance exam as the Central Government is conducting national level entrance test NEET from 2013.
The AP Government has made it clear that the AP students will participate in NEET from 2014 as the syllabus changes are on the way and efforts to make the entrance more comfortable with the students is expected through changes.

Telugu and English Compulsory Subjects in AP Schools 2013
In a prompt move to give more importance to Telugu Language in education, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has made it mandatory to study Telugu subject from Class 1 to 10th Class / SSC. The Government has issued orders on 28th January 2013 in this regard. The rule may be implemented from 2013-14 academic year.
Along with Telugu, the Government also made it compulsory to study English as a subject from 1st class and 10th class in the state. The Government has approved the guidelines framed by the Department of Education to this effect.
The guidelines are applicable for all the Government, aided and unaided private schools functioning in the state. About 1.29 crore students will come under the purview of this guidelines.
Presently, the teaching is carried out in Telugu Medium from class 1 to class 10 in Telugu Medium schools. Telugu is being studied as an optional subject from Class 6th and 10th Class. With the changed guidelines, all the students have to study Telugu till 10th Class.

ANU B.Tech Results and Revaluation 2013
Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar (Guntur) has released the results of B.Tech (Regular First year) and 2nd Semester (Supplementary) exams on 22nd January 2013.
3644 candidates were attended for the first semester examinations. Out of these, 1242 candidates were declared passed in the exam. 1953 candidates were appeared for 2nd semester (Supplementary) exams and 1157 candidates declared passed.

New Engineering Colleges in all Districts of AP 2013
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to establish a Government Engineering College in each district in the state. A new polytechnic college for women also will be established in all the districts. These are the proposals being prepared for the upcoming Budget for 2013-14.
It is also proposed that the allocation for the higher education will be increased in the coming budget. The other important proposals include:
1) Allocation of Rs.5445 crores for higher education for the year 2013.
2) Rs. 400 crores for the engineering colleges announced in Medak and Chittoor districts.
3) Rs. 720 crores for RGUKT IIITs at Basara, Nuzvid and Idupulapaya.

Employability Enhancement Programme in AP Polytechnic Colleges 2013
Here is a new job oriented programme for the diploma candidates. Central Minister for Human Resources Development Pallam Raju has launched Diploma in Employability Enhancement Programme in polytechnic colleges in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.

Osmania Degree, Law and MBA Exams News 2013
Osmania University has informed that the students can apply for UG examinations on or before 24th January 2013. Applications will be accepted till 30th of January with a fine of Rs.100 . Details of fee per various subjects and other information is available on the OU website at www.osmania.ac.in .
OU has also announced that the MBA candidates under the purview of Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) will have to apply for 1, 3 and 5th semester regular examinations. Fee should be paid on or before 21st January 2013 and applications have to be submitted before 24th January 2013.
Law examinations for the five year and three year LLB course under Osmania University region will be held from 18th February to 1st March 2013. The semester examinations fee should be paid at the concerned colleges. The examinations will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM on the announced dates.

University of Hyderabad Special Admission Announcement for SC, ST and PWD Candidates 2013-14
University of Hyderabad has issued special admission announcement for the attention of SC, ST, OBC and PWD candidates for the academic year 2013-14. The admission announcement of PG, Integrated PG, M.Phil and Ph.D courses has already been released and this notification is in continuation of the earlier announcement.
15 and 7.5 percent seats in all the courses are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively. About 3 percent seats are reserved for PWD candidates. A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the qualifying examination is applicable for all the reserved candidates.
27 percent seats in all the courses are reserved for OBC candidates. But there is no relaxation in qualifying marks for OBC candidates.

PGECET 2013 ranks will be announced on 5th June. The first phase counseling will commence from 16th June and will be closed by 29th June 2013. The final phase counseling will be held during 13-17 July 2013.
Class work of PGECET 2013 will be started from 1st August and closing date for the entire admission process is 14th August. Direct admissions to PGECET will have to be completed by 30th July.
Admission to M.Tech and M.Pharmacy courses in Engineering and Pharmacy colleges will be conducted through GATE and GPAT scores. Seats unfilled through GATE and GPAT candidates will be filled through PGECET candidates.

The second phase counseling for the remaining seats will be conducted during 5-8th July 2013. The class work for both MBA and MCA will be started from 1st August 2013. Lase dates for the admissions is 14th August.

Navodaya Entrance Hall Tickets 2013 for 6th Class
Hall tickets for the Navodaya Schools Entrance Examinations are made available with the Mandal Education Officers (MEOs). The entrance examination for the academic year 2013-14 will be held on 10th February 2013.
The Principal of Navodaya Schools B. Prabhakar has informed that the hall tickets for the entrance exam for admission into 6th class have been with MEOs of all the mandals. About 6500 candidates were applied for the entrance exam.

Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) has announced notification for Eligibility Test - 2013 for admission to BA, B.Com and B.Sc Degree courses for the year 2013. Duration of the course is three years. These courses are offered in distance education mode. Here are details of registration and qualifications.
Applicants should have Intermediate or its equivalent. Those do not have Inter qualification should should be 18 years old as on 1st July 2013.
Interested candidates can register through AP Online Franchise Centers available across the state. Eligibility Test 2013 will be held at all the study centers of the BRAOU in the state. The list of these centers is available on the website www.braou.ac.in .

New JNTU Engineering College at Kalikiri from 2013-14
Here comes another JNTU Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh. The Govt. of AP has proposed to start a new JNTU Engineering College at Kalikiri, Chittoor district. The college will start functioning from the academic year 2013-14.
The JNTU Anantapur will be facilitator for the new JNTU College. The Govt. has already granted Rs.198.67 crores for the establishment of the college. The APSCHE has issued orders to take up the project by JNTU Anantapur.
Kalikiri comes under the purview of Assembly Constituency of Chief Minister of AP, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. The new JNTU Kalikiri will start B.Tech Courses in 4 subjects initially and will be expanded in a phased manner.
The new courses to be started from 2013-14 are B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical and Computer Science Engineering. B.Tech Food Science will be started from the academic year 2014-15.
