EAMCET 2014 Second Phase Counseling Details

EAMCET 2014 second phase counseling schedule will be announced shortly. There are more than 73000 engineering seats remain vacant in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh seats after the completion of first phase counseling. The 2nd Phase counseling notification will be issued by APSCHE and TSCHE to fill the vacant seats.

The number of vacant seats is likely to increase as some students may not report at the allotted college if they are not satisfied with the allotted engineering / pharmacy college.

Candidates who allotted seats in first phase counseling will have to report at the concerned colleges on or before 6th September 2014. There were specific guidelines for the colleges to follow with regard to collection off fee and certificates.

Candidates who want to participate in second / final phase counseling should not submit their original certificates at the college. The should not pay the fee and also stay away from any special fee. If the candidates were allotted a seat in second counseling, the seat allotted in first counseling will be cancelled.

FIITJEE Talent Support Exam 2014 for JEE Aspirants

EAMCET 2014 Engineering Seat Allotments

The EAMCET 2014 seats allotments will be done on 30th August 2014. The candidates who have exercised web options and allotted a seat can download the allotment order from the website eamcet.nic.in . Candidates should report at the allotted college as per the schedule on the letter.

The process for changing web options has been completed. The JNTU has denied the approval for 174 Engineering Colleges in Telangana State.

After High Court's positive response on the issue, the JNTU has decided to include the colleges in the options list with certain conditions on improving the basic infrastructure and faculty.

But there is no mention of these colleges by the end of the process of web options. The counseling officials have informed that the list is not available for them to include the colleges in the options list.

Telangana Govt to review Telugu and Social Studies Textbooks

The Telangana Government has decided to review the text books of Social Studies and Telugu subjects to bring necessary changes that will focus the history, culture, literature and arts of Telangana State.

The Telangana Government has formed two separate committees to review the textbooks of Telugu and Social Studies.

The review committee on the changes in Social Studies textbooks consists of TJAC Chairman, Prof. Kodanda Ram and various other social scientists.

The committee on Telugu literature textbooks consists of Chukka Ramaiah (educationist), Nandini Siddha Reddy (Poet and writer) and Desapathi Srinivas (OSD on Education).

The Telangana State Government has brought in several changes in the examination and evaluation pattern for 9th and 10th Classes from the academic year 2014-15. There will be only 11 papers in SSC / 10th Class public exams. Following are details of these papers and new grades system.

2) A2: 81-90 marks: 9 grade points
3) B1: 71-80 marks: 8 grade points
4) B2: 61-70 marks: 7 grade points

Changes in 10th Class Exams in Telangana State from 2014-15

The Telangana State Government has approved the changes in 9th and 10th Class evaluation and examination pattern from the academic year 2014-15. The changes will take place in the number of question papers, internal and external assessment. Following are some important changes in the SSC public exams in Telangana.

There will be internal assessment for 20 marks. The public exams question paper will be for 80 marks only. There will be no exams for Sanskrit and Composite Telugu. The Telangana Government has done away with private examination system for 10th Class. All those interested to appear in exams through private system have to enroll for open school system.

The Telangana State has also decided to scrap revaluation system for the 10th Class exams. Usually students who failed in the examination with a shortage of 1-5 marks apply for revaluation and several students qualify after adding some consideration marks.

The recounting and re-verification will be allowed but not revaluation of answer sheets. The SSC public exams will have only 11 papers. Students need not get pass marks in internal assessment. They should get at least 28 marks (combining two papers) as a whole to pass in the examination.

MBBS and BDS Fee Structure in AP Medical Colleges for 2014-15

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to not to increase the fee for MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2014-15. The fee structure will be same as it was for the medical counseling in the previous year. Following are details of fee for Government and Private Colleges in various categories of seats.



Meanwhile, the Telangana Government has hiked the fee for MBBS and BDS Courses in all categories of seats in Private Colleges. The B Category seat has been priced at Rs. 11 lakhs (NRI quota). The fee structure in Telangana Medical and Dental Colleges is also available here.

The Medical Counseling notification for EAMCET 2014 qualified candidates has been released for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2014-15. Candidates should produce EAMCET hall ticket, rank card, SSC certificate, Intermediate memo, Transfer and Study certificates, special category certificate in any, residence certificate wherever applicable.

EAMCET 2014 Medical Counseling Schedule in AP and Telangana

The EAMCET 2014 medical counseling notification has been released by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. The admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2014-15 will be through this centralized counseling. The counseling will be held from 30th August 2014 to 5th September 2014 at 5 helpline centers in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Government of Telangana has hiked the fee for medical seats (MBBS ) from the academic year 2014-15. The fee has been substantially increased for management category seats private medical and dental colleges in Telangana State. The Government has also released new guidelines for the management quota admissions.

Following are latest fee details for MBBS in Telangana Colleges:
1) Convener Quota: Rs. 60000 (A- 50 percent seats)
2) Convener Quota: Rs. 2.40 lakhs (B -10 percent seats)
3) Management Quota: Rs. 9 lakhs (C - Management quota - 25 percent seats)

AP ePass - Free Coaching for GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS 2014-15

The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued notification inviting applications through online portal apepass.cgg.gov.in for the admissions into coaching classes for GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS. The candidates should be from SC / ST community and the annual income of the parents / guardians should be less than Rs. 2 lakhs.

Interested candidates can start applying online from 20th August 2014. Last date for the registrations for the first batch is 31 August 2014. The coaching will be offered in selected institutions in Hyderabad, Warangal and Vijayawada.

Engineering Category B Management Quota Admissions 2014-15

The Engineering B Category seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be filled through web portal ensuring more transparency in the admissions process. The admissions into management category in B.Tech and B.Pharmacy courses will be done through a separate web portal.

The portal will be available for the students from 23rd August 2014. But several colleges have already started filling management quota seats on their own and have been issuing admission notifications in this regard.

The details regarding applying online for Category - B admissions will be available on the APSCHE website www.apsche.org. . The notification will be applicable for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.

Telangana Engineering Counseling 2014 - One Lakh Seats Cut

With the denial of affiliation for the academic year 2014-15 to several engineering colleges in Telangana by the JNTU Hyderabad, the number of total available engineering seats have drastically come down in the State of Telangana.

174 colleges failed in securing affiliation and excluded from the web counseling started from 17th August 2014 in Telangana. The efforts of the college managements to get included in the counseling went futile with the rejection of the plea by th High Court of Hyderabad.

The total number of seats have come down from 184575 to 85455 in Telangana EAMCET Counseling. The Pharmacy seats also got decreased from 18564 to 10910.

The students will lose seats in several reputed colleges also as they included in the list of excluded colleges from the Counseling. Some colleges lost the strength while several others failed in getting affiliation itself. The students will have to wait for the second counseling for any additions of the colleges.

Polycet 2014 Seat Allotments and Web Options Change

Department of Technical Education of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh has announced that the POLYCET 2014 seat allotments will be announced on 24th August 2014. The candidates who have exercised or not exercised web options can change the same as per the schedule.

1) 22nd August 2014: Candidates from ranks 1 to 76000 can change the web options
2) 23rd August 2014: Candidates with ranks from 76001 to last rank can change the web options.

The web options can be changed through ploycet.nic.in . Seats allotments will be done on 24th August after 8 PM. Seats remain vacant after first phase counseling will be filled through second phase counseling.

Candidates can secure admissions into polytechnic courses through POLYCET 2014 admissions. The counseling has been delayed due to issue of nativity and fee reimbursement schemes in Telangana.

ECET 2014 Web Options and Seat Allotments on 22nd August

Convenor, ECET 2014 admissions has informed that the candidates who have exercised or not exercised web options earlier can exercise the web options through the website ecet.nic.in . The ECET 2014 admissions notification has been issued after clearing decks for the contentious issues between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Students who have qualified in ECET 2014 can now exercise web options on 20th and 21st August 2014. The seat allotments will be done on 22nd August 2014.

ECET is for admission into Engineering (B.Tech /BE) courses through lateral entry scheme. Diploma candidates can seek admissions into Engineering courses directly through ECET. They need not appear for EAMCET.

There will be certain number of seats reserved for ECET candidates in engineering admissions. Seats remain vacant will be filled through ECET 2014 second phase counseling for which details will be announced later.

Reforms in 10th Class Exams in Telangana State from 2014-15

The Telangana Government is proposed to implement several reforms in SSC / 10th Class public examinations from the academic year 2014-15. The SCERT of Telangana has been insisting on the reforms in exams structure thus encouraging the students to think creatively rather than reproducing the answers learnt in the classroom.

The SCERT is proposed to allocate 20 percent internal marks for extra curricular activities. Combined score of 35 marks (including internal and external) will be considered to give grades for the examinations.

The separate marks for internal and external examinations will be reflected in the 10th class marks memo of the students.

The SCERT has informed that the proposals have already been approved by the Government of Telangana and the Government is likely to issue orders soon. The new syllabus and textbooks also have been prepared considering the changes in examinations.

NTR University Super Specialty Courses Admissions 2014-15

Only 141 Engineering Colleges in First Phase EAMCET Counseling 2014

In a new twist to the EAMCET 2014 Engineering counseling, about 174 engineering colleges did not find place in the options entry which has been started from 17th August 2014 in Telangana State.

The JNTU Hyderabad has declined the approval for as many as 174 Engineering colleges in Telangana citing lack of proper infrastructure, faculty and other facilities.

With this, the students will be web options for only 141 private colleges apart from the Government University campus colleges. The colleges are thinking of approaching the High Court as the time is not sufficient for them to take on the Government.

The Telangana Government's decision to exclude several colleges from the first phase counseling is likely to cost dearly respective colleges. The managements of colleges have called for emergency meeting to take a decision on the developments.

Polycet 2014 Seal Allotments on 20th or 21st August

The seat allotments for the candidates who have exercised web options as part of POLYCET 2014 web counseling will be done on 20th or 21st August 2014. The seat allotments can be obtained from the website at polycet dot nic dot in . The POLYCET is for admission into polytechnic courses for the academic year 2014-15.

The process of exercising web options has been completed sometime back but the seats were not allotted due to various administrative reasons. More than one lakh candidates are waiting for the Polycet 2014 seat allotments in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

With this the decks will be almost cleared for other CETs counseling as well. The counseling process for entrance exams like EDCET, ICET, ECET, LAWCET etc. has not been completed due to issues of nativity, fee reimbursement and lask of coordination between the new states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

With the intervention of Supreme Court in EAMCET counseling 2014, both the states may conduct the common admissions for all other entrance exams and courses. Most of the counselings will start in September 2014.

Sainik School for Telangana State in Mahaboobnagar

The Telangana Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU) has urged the Government of India to sanction a Sainik School for Telangana. The Union has urged the Central Government to establish Sainik School in the backward Mahaboobnagar district.

There are two Sainik Schools in undivided Andhra Pradesh. These are at Korukonda in Vizianagaram district and Kalikiri in Chittoor district. After the bifurcation, both the schools were located in Seemandhra / Andhra Pradesh.

The PRTU leaders met Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley and submitted a memorandum seeking sanction of Sainik School in the newly formed state of Telangana.

Sainik Schools provide quality education at the low cost and also provide employment in the armed forces after the completion of education. The schools are known for strict regime and discipline in the teaching methodology and curriculum.

EAMCET 2014 Counseling - Web Options Entry and Seats Allotment Schedule

The web options entry process for EAMCET 2014 engineering candidates will commence from 17th August 2014 and will continue till 27th August 2014. The rank wise schedule will be released soon by the respective Higher Education Councils of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.

EAMCET 2014 MBBS Counseling from 25th August

The EAMCET 2014 medical counseling is likely to commence from 25th August 2014. The counseling notification will be announced on 16th or 17th August 2014. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada will conduct the counseling for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.

The fee hike proposal for private colleges will be dropped for this year in both the states. Telangana Government is yet to finalise the guidelines on fee reimbursement scheme, FAST.

Private medical colleges are demanding the Governments to liberalise the guidelines to fill up seats in management quota as the fee hike is almost ruled out by the Governments.

The Government of Telangana is likely to finalise EAMCET 2014 counseling schedule today. The Telangana government and Telangana State Council of Higher Education are keen on conducting separate counseling for Telangana students.

The decision on separate counseling dates and schedule will be taken and finalised considering the guidelines of Supreme Court. The Court has asked both AP and Telangana governments to complete the EAMCET Engineering admissions counseling by the end of August 2014.

The TSCHE Chairman, Papireddy has informed that Engineering counseling for Telangana students will be conducted separately. The schedule for certificate verification will be announced today or tomorrow.

The Supreme Court has declined to comment on controversial FAST scheme and local status. With this the Telangana Government may go ahead with its policies on fee reimbursement and local status of the students.

Supreme Court Judgement on EAMCET 2014 Counseling

The Supreme Court of India has rejected the request for the postponement of EAMCET 2014 counseling for three months by the Government of Telangana. In its final judgement on the EAMCET 2014 counseling on 11th August 2014, the Supreme Court has directed both the states of AP and Telangana to abide by the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and conduct common admissions.

The Supreme Court has entrusted the responsibility of the conducting EAMCET 2014 counseling to AP State Council of Higher Education, following the guidelines of the AP Reorganisation Act. The court has mentioned that the APSCHE will conduct counseling as per the bifurcation Act. With the judgement of Supreme Court, the decks have almost been cleared for the EAMCET Engineering counseling.

The certificate verification is under progress in Andhra Pradesh and the same will be started in Telangana in a few days. APSCHE Chairman, Venugopal Reddy has informed that the certificate verification in Telangana may start within 3-4 days. The detailed schedule will be announced in a day or two by the Council.

EAMCET 2014 Counseling in Telangana Colleges

The row over EAMCET 2014 counseling continues even after the commencement of certificate verification in Andhra Pradesh from 7th August 2014. Chairman of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGSCHE), Hyderabad Papi Reddy has informed that there will be separate counseling for Telangana students.

He clarified that the admissions will be conducted jointly by both the Councils of AP and Telangana. He maintained that the counseling will be held separately for Telangana students following guidelines of the Government.

It is not clear whether the Telangana Government conduct separate counseling for other courses as well. The Supreme court is yet to deliver its final verdict on the EAMCET counseling.

The response from the students for the ongoing certificate verification is poor. The verification will start in Telangana soon. On the first day of certificate verification in AP, only 27 percent candidates attended for the verification.

Supreme Court Orders for EAMCET Counseling 2014

The Supreme Court of India has cleared the decks for EAMCET 2014 counseling and admission process. The Supreme Court has directed both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to complete the EAMCET 2014 admissions process by the end of August 2014. The Court has postponed the further hearing to 11th August 2014.

The Supreme Court of India has ordered both the states to stick to the guidelines framed in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 with regard to the common admission process. The Court has also told that the nativity issue has to be settled following the rules of AP Reorganisation Act and Presidential Order.

The court has also questioned the sanctity of Telangana Governments proposal to fix 1956 as cut off year to decide nativity and local status of the students.

With this the EAMCET 2014 Engineering counseling process is likely to continue as per the schedule announced by APSCHE, Hyderabad. The certificate verification will commence from 7th August 2014. The Telangana Government is yet to finalise its participation in EAMCET 2014 counseling process.

10th Class Exams in AP in Old Pattern for 2014-15

There is so much confusion prevailed in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the pattern of 10th Class / SSC public examinations for the year 2014-15. The examinations are fast approaching, but the Governments are still undecided over the exam pattern.

The Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister, Ganta Srinivasa Rao has announced on Sunday (3rd August 2014) in a private function that the AP Government will follow old pattern of examination for SSC for the present academic year.

The Telangana Government, on the other side has not make up its mind on the SSC exam pattern. Though there were several rounds of meetings conducted by the education department, final conclusion has not been reached on the exam pattern.

On the other side, quarterly and half - yearly examinations are fast approaching in both the states. It is high time that both the states have to finalise the SSC / 10th Class exam dates for the benefit of the students of concerned states.

There is a huge demand for D.Ed and DIETCET / DEECET as majority of the vacancies in the DSC teachers recruitment will be reserved for these candidates as per the order of the Supreme Court.

There will be a common admission counseling for all the qualified candidates of DEECET. A separate counseling notification will be issued by the department of school education. The counseling may be delayed as AP and Telangana governments have to conduct admissions
jointly.

North South Foundation for Scholarships 2014-15

North South Foundation, a US based organization has announced scholarships for excellence for the year 2014-15. The financial assistance named as North South Foundation Scholarships for Excellence will be awarded for the eligible students across India.

The scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing Engineering, Medicine and Polytechnic Diploma courses from the year 2014-15.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should be studying BE / B.Tech/ MBBS / Polytechnic Diploma. They must be in the top 10 percent ranks in concerned entrance test CET / JET etc. Family income should be below Rs. 65000 per annum.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected based on merit. They will have to attend for interviews along with parents. The schedule of interviews will be intimated personally.
