IPE Exams - Senior Inter Physics Model Question Paper

Here we are giving Physics Model Question paper for Senior Intermediate students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state. The IPE exams are approaching fast and it is the time for more revision and practice. The Inter second year (physics) paper is prepared as per the new syllabus of Inter boards.

SECTION - A

I. i) Answer ALL questions.
ii) Each carries 2 marks.
iii) All are very short answer type questions. 10×2 = 20

1. What is hypermetropia? How can it be corrected?
2. A circular coil of radius 'r' having 'n' turns carries a current 'i'. What is its magnetic moment?
3. Define magnetic declination.
4. Classify the following materials with regard to magnetism: Manganese, Cobalt, Nickel, Bismuth, Oxygen, Copper.
5. When does a LCR series circuit have minimum impedance?
6. What are the applications of microwaves?
7. Write down Einstein's photoelectric equation.
8. State Heisenberg's Uncertainty principle.
9. Which gates are called Universal gates?
10. What is "World Wide Web" (WWW)?

SECTION - B

II. i) Answer any SIX questions.
ii) Each carries 4 marks.
iii) All are short answer type questions. 6 × 4 = 24
11. With a neat labelled diagram explain the formations of image in a simple microscope.
12. How do you determine the resolving power of your eye?
13. Derive the equation for the couple acting on a electric dipole in a uniform electric field.
14. Define electric potential. Derive an expression for the electric potential due to a point charge.
15. State and explain Biot-Savart law.
16. Obtain an expression for the magnetic energy stored in a solenoid in terms of the magnetic field, area and length of the solenoid.
17. Explain different types of spectral series.
18. What is rectification? Explain the working of a full-wave rectifier.

SECTION - C

III. i) Answer any TWO of the following.
ii) Each carries 8 marks.
iii) All are long answer type questions. 2 × 8 = 16
19. a) How are stationary waves formed in closed pipes? Explain the various modes of vibrations and obtain relations for their frequencies. (2 + 4 marks)
b) A closed organ pipe 70 cm long is sounded. If the speed of sound in air is 331 ms−1, calculate the fundamental frequency of vibration of air column. (2 marks)
20. a) State Kirchhoff's laws for an electrical network. Using these laws deduce the condition for balance in a Wheatstone bridge. (2 + 4 marks)
b) If the galvanometer and cell are interchanged, how does the condition for balance in a Wheatstone bridge change? (2 marks)
21. Explain the principle and working of a nuclear reactor with the help of a labelled diagram.
